On Beasmwap v3, you can perform instant peer-to-peer transactions and earn rewards for supplying liquidity and asset staking.

Beamswap further supports the growth of the Moonbeam ecosystem by acting as a launchpad for new projects on the network. Following the multichain vision of Polkadot, Beasmwap v3 works alongside ecosystem partners with advanced infrastructure solutions to deliver a supreme and cross-chain DeFi experience.

Continuing the legacy of Beamswap v2, the current platform keeps supporting AMM protocol to power certain asset swaps and liquidity pools.

## Moonbeam-based DEX

Beamswap v3 relies on the [Moonbeam Network](https://moonbeam.network/) to power core DeFi services and features.

Moonbeam is an EVM-compatible Polkadot parachain that merges the simplicity and adaptability of Ethereum smart contracts with the scalability of Polkadot.

In the Moonbeam ecosystem, Beamswap is one of the first movers offering DeFi services to the crypto community and adding an important share to the evolution of the Polkadot space.

With cross-chain integrations, Moonbeam facilitates interoperability and supports the decentralized aspect of the Beamswap platform. The on-chain governance allows for streamlined management and implementation of feature changes and upgrades through user collaboration.

Moonbeam’s low gas fees make Beamswap services more affordable compared to other networks, while its high scalability facilitates further expansion and sustains the ever-evolving user demands.

# Key Products and Features

Beamswap products and features are curated with beginners and experienced users in mind. Our goal is to support you in all your DeFi pursuits and provide you with a complete suite of tools on a unified platform.

## **Token Swap**

Asset swap is the main feature of Beamswap DEX. It allows you to trade crypto assets on the Moonbeam Network in a trustless, fast, low-fee, peer-to-peer way.

[<mark style="color:blue;">More about Token Swap >></mark>](/products-and-features/decentralized-exchange/p2p-token-swap)

## **Liquidity Provision**

As a Liquidity Provider, you can earn 0.17% of swapping fees from the pairs where you provided liquidity. More rewards (in $GLINT) can be earned when you stake asset pairs in Yield Farm pools.

[More about Liquidity Provision >>](/products-and-features/yield-farming#yield-farms-liquidity-provision)

## **Yield Farms**

The Liquidity Farm is the place to stake your BEAM-LP (Beamswap Liquidity Pair tokens) to earn GLINT. These farms provide incentives to people providing liquidity to Beamswap and help offset Impermanent Loss risk.

Yield Farming is one of the core features of the Beamswap DeFi Hub. It allows you to earn rewards - even double or triple - in exchange for depositing and staking your BEAM-LP (Beamswap Liquidity Pair tokens). Farms incentivize users to provide liquidity to Beamswap and help offset Impermanent Loss risk.

[<mark style="color:blue;">More about Yield Farming >></mark>](/products-and-features/yield-farming)

## **Bridge**

Integrated Bridge brings cryptocurrencies from other EVM chains to Moonbeam-based Beamswap and vice versa. Since its launch, the Beamswap Bridge has been connected with Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, and will grow into a Multichain Bridge linking more chains.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oCPV9INWqg>" %}

## What are yield farms?

Yield farming is a system in which you deposit tokens in a shared pool with other users. This shared pool of tokens offers returns by using decentralized finance.

In yield farming, you provide liquidity to different token pairs and earn cryptocurrency rewards. The more liquidity you provide, the higher the return.&#x20;

The interest rate on Beamswap is depicted by APR (annual percentage rate.)&#x20;

# Beamswap v2

Before upgrading to v3, Beamswap was primarily run on the AMM protocol and featured the SHARE token.

## AMM protocol

Similarly to v3, Beamswap v2 featured a decentralized exchange (DEX) and allowed users to supply liquidity and earn passive income from staking and yield farming. However, the transactions were powered by the [automated market maker (AMM) protocol](/beamswap-v2/standard-and-stable-amm), both standard and stable.

{% content-ref url="/pages/Sy6ldOTXQBPLHZuO4yOD" %}
[Standard & Stable AMM](/beamswap-v2/standard-and-stable-amm)
{% endcontent-ref %}

In its current version, Beamswap v3 is primarily powered by the [concentrated liquidity market maker (CLMM) protocol](/products-and-features/decentralized-exchange/beamswap-v3-clmm).

## SHARE token

The v2 version also featured the Beamswap-native [SHARE](/beamswap-v2/beamshare-retired) token that complemented the primary platform asset, GLINT, in delivering staking and earning opportunities for users.

{% content-ref url="/pages/wBjScck2LQhnBkoeexqG" %}
[Beamshare (Retired)](/beamswap-v2/beamshare-retired)
{% endcontent-ref %}

In Beamswap v3, SHARE is replaced by the [stGLINT](/products-and-features/stglint) token.

# Standard & Stable AMM

{% hint style="warning" %}
The AMM protocol powered the previous, v2 version of Beamswap, and now it powers certain v2 swaps and liquidity pools on Beamswap v3. The upgraded Beamswap v3 runs primarily on the [v3 (CLMM) DEX](/products-and-features/decentralized-exchange/beamswap-v3-clmm) protocol.
{% endhint %}

Automated market maker (AMM) is the underlying protocol that powers all decentralized exchanges (DEXs) by connecting users and their crypto assets with other market participants.

It bypasses intermediaries or centralized exchanges, and thus sustains a decentralized market where users can exchange assets directly with one another.

Beamswap v2 was a hybrid AMM DEX, as it ran on two AMM models:

* Standard AMM
* Stable AMM

The Standard AMM is an exchange model used on many DEXs, as it works well in supporting continuous liquidity. However, it does not sustain efficient capital deployment, which causes high slippage on swaps and, ultimately, more costly trades for end-users.

On the other hand, the Stable AMM reduces slippage and provides better rates for exchanged tokens, particularly for correlated assets or assets of the same value.

{% hint style="info" %}
Correlated assets or assets of the same value are different representations of the same token holding the same value. These commonly include stablecoins or various representations of the US dollar, namely USDC, USDT, BUSD, DAI, and FRAX, but also different versions of ETH, BTC, KSM, and other cryptocurrencies.
{% endhint %}

By enabling both Standard and Stable AMM trading models of the token swap, Beamswap v2 protected users’ funds with lower slippage of correlated assets and minimal transaction fees while providing the best prices of listed tokens.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Following are guides and instructions on how to use AMM on Beamswap v2. Please note that Beamswap v3 primarily runs on [CLMM](/products-and-features/decentralized-exchange/beamswap-v3-clmm).
{% endhint %}

## How to use Stable AMM on Beamswap?

To exchange assets or add and remove liquidity from the pools, you could go to <https://app.beamswap.io/exchange/swap>. Make sure your wallet is connected to the Moonbeam network.

Choose the correlated assets you would like to exchange from the drop-down list. The selection of the optimal AMM route for each trade is done automatically based on the chosen trading pair and appears at the bottom of the trading window.

Review exchange details and click “Swap”.

<figure><img src="/files/gEErGYrlF3CPibyfgtn2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Add liquidity on Stable AMM

Add liquidity on Stable AMM To add liquidity using Stable AMM, go to <https://app.beamswap.io/exchange/pool>.

Open the Stable AMM tab, and under “Manage”, click “Add” to add liquidity. You can add liquidity to the following pools:

* Multi 4Pool: multiUSDC + multiUSDT + multiDAI + multiBUSD
* Nomad 3Pool: madUSDC + madUSDT + madDAI

<figure><img src="/files/TmxiJWIgOsrl0pgOb6lk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Next, enter the amount of assets you would like to add to the liquidity pool and click “Approve \[asset]”.

Lastly, finish the process and click the “Confirm Adding Liquidity” button.

{% hint style="warning" %}
When adding liquidity that doesn’t contribute to the balance of the pool, your position will be reduced by a price impact percentage. On the contrary, if you add liquidity that increases the pool balance, you will be rewarded with a bonus percentage on your position.
{% endhint %}

Unlike Standard AMMs, LPs on Stable AMMs can add or remove liquidity for single assets, for example, only for USDT, only for USDC, or both assets in the ratio of choice.

## Remove liquidity on Stable AMM

To remove liquidity, click the “Manage” drop-down and then “Remove”.

<figure><img src="/files/2bxT4SThaQNMIY0uvni9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Enter the amount of assets to remove, choose the token of withdrawal — a single one or all — click “Approve”, and then “Confirm Withdrawal”.

<figure><img src="/files/paNViWmfHXEE3geZHTN4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Beamswap Stable AMM Pool

Key variables of the Stable AMM Pool on Beamswap:

* **Virtual price:** The average dollar value of the pooled tokens, e. g., stable coins pegged to the U. S. dollar have a virtual price of $1.
* **Amplification coefficient:** Higher values extend the range of low-slippage fees, while lower values balance out the pool’s composition.
* **Swap fee:** 0.04% fee on every trade made through Stable AMM. 50% of the fees go to LPs and 50% to the Beamswap treasury.

## Benefits of Stable AMM

Beamswap Stable AMM brings multiple benefits to all stakeholders, from traders and liquidity providers to the network as a whole.

### Benefits for traders

Stable AMM allows Beamswap users to enjoy much more cost-effective trading of stablecoin pairs or different variations of the same coin, thanks to lower slippage, minimal fees, the best market prices, and higher capital efficiency.

You can swap different bridged versions of the same asset without having to worry about insufficient liquidity.

### Benefits for liquidity providers (LPs)

Beamswap DEX is able to sustain full liquidity for one asset instead of splitting it between two correlated assets. Thanks to the Beamswap invariant algorithm, it significantly reduces the impermanent loss that occurs as the asset price changes after being deposited in the liquidity pool.

Stable AMM also mitigates liquidity fragmentation on Moonbeam caused by different variations of the same coin caused by various bridges to Moonbeam. In other words, as certain DEXs accept only certain variations of stablecoin and exclude others, the Stable AMM sustains the creation of various stable pools of correlated assets, allowing traders to swap between them and aggregate the overall stablecoin liquidity on Moonbeam.

### Benefits for the network

Stable AMM ensures a more efficient emissions structure. Daily emissions in the form of Beamswap-native $GLINT token must be quantified to ensure maximum fee optimization and long-term sustainability of the DEX and mitigate the risk of oversupply and value dilution.

The Standard AMM model has sustained multiple less-efficient farms, such as the DAI-USDC, BUSD-USDC, and USDT-USDC stablecoin farms. Daily emissions in $GLINT were distributed to users staking LP tokens in each of those farms, which led to emission redundancy.

However, with a correlated-asset structure, a meta-pool consisting of USDC, DAI, BUSD, and USDT would be enough to ensure concentrated USDC liquidity against other stablecoins. Thanks to the Stable AMM, only one pool would be incentivized, optimizing the efficiency of emission management.

### Benefits for $GLINT holders

With the Beamswap Stable AMM, 40% of the fees from stablecoin swaps are used by the Beamswap DEX to buy back $GLINT, which reduces the circulating supply of $GLINT and benefits its holders.

### Benefits for the Beamswap DeFi Hub

The implementation of a Stable AMM on Beamswap means stronger support of multiple correlated assets and a fortified DeFi ecosystem as the platform concentrates liquidity through the native token of the Moonbeam network, $GLMR.

The Stable AMM protocol allows Beamswap to support other DeFi approaches as well, such as Liquid Staking.

# Beamshare (Retired)

{% hint style="warning" %}
The Beamshare feature introduced the SHARE token in the previous, v2 version of Beamswap and is currently inactive. The upgraded Beamswap v3 introduces the [stGLINT](/products-and-features/stglint) token.
{% endhint %}

Beamshare was a single-sided auto-compounding pool for the $GLINT token and represented one of the pillars of the Beamswap platform.

It allowed you to earn higher APY rewards for staking $GLINT token compared to APR in Yield Farming.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Following are guides and instructions on how to use Beamshare. These don't apply in the current, Beamswap v3 version, since SHARE has been replaced by the [stGLINT](/products-and-features/stglint) token.
{% endhint %}

## APY

APY or Annual Percentage Yield is the annual compounded rate of return and is expressed in percentages.

It represents the interest rate awarded on the initial invested amount and on the interest accumulated on this amount. By compounding interest on interest, the APY is typically higher than APR.

## How does it work?

The auto-compounding feature automatically solds and re-ads your farming rewards to your pool, leading to a higher APY.

A 0.03% portion of the DEX fees is used to buy $GLINT and deposit it into the rewards pool for Beamshare. The same happens for a portion of the yield farming emissions.

{% hint style="warning" %}
No liquidity will be provided for $SHARE Tokens on the Swap. It should only be exchanged using Beamshare with $GLINT. If you sell your $SHARE Tokens you will not be able to withdraw your $GLINT, because $SHARE is needed as a receipt to withdraw.
{% endhint %}

When you deposit and stake $GLINT tokens on Beamshare, you receive rewards in $SHARE tokens. The $SHARE rewards depend on two factors:

* The size of your share of the pool
* The $SHARE vs. $GLINT ratio

**Pool share**

By using a portion of all trade fees on Beamswap to buy back $GLINT tokens, the pool automatically compounds and expands.

The more $GLINT tokens enter the pool, the higher your value in $SHARE tokens — the same amount of $SHARE tokens gets you more $GLINT once you unstake them.

**$SHARE vs. $GLINT ratio**

The ratio between $SHARE and $GLINT started at 1:1 at the Beamswap launch and is increasing over time (reaching 1:1.5, 1:2, 1:5, etc.).

You can withdraw $GLINT anytime, but you will need to burn your $SHARE tokens in the process. If you want to repeat the process, you can always stake $GLINT in the pool and receive rewards at an increased $SHARE : $GLINT ratio.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Example**: At a ratio of 1 $SHARE to 1.5 $GLINT, you received 1,000 $SHARE for a deposit of 1,500 $GLINT. If you hold your $SHARE tokens until the ratio reaches 1 $SHARE to 2 $GLINT, you can burn your 1,000 $SHARE to withdraw 2,000 $GLINT. If you want to receive 1,000 $SHARE again, you now need to deposit 2,000 $GLINT as per the new 1 $SHARE : 2 $GLINT ratio.
{% endhint %}

## How to use Beamshare?

### Deposit and stake $GLINT

{% hint style="info" %}
First, you need $GLINT tokens. If you don’t have some already, you can get $GLINT here: <https://app.beamswap.io/exchange/swap>.
{% endhint %}

Go to <https://app.beamswap.io/beamshare> and start staking $GLINT for $SHARE.

Check the $SHARE : $GLINT ratio at the top of the field. Enter the amount of $GLINT you want to stake or choose MAX.

Click “Sign and Stake”, confirm the transaction in your wallet, and receive your share of the staked pool in $SHARE tokens.

<figure><img src="/files/ZBQpm7GG0XPoTJg2wrbL" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Unstake and withdraw $GLINT + rewards

Go to <https://app.beamswap.io/beamshare> and switch to the “Unstake” tab.

Enter the amount of $SHARE tokens you want to unstake or choose MAX. Click “Unstake” and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

<figure><img src="/files/2h1AZRRAfLJEtuV6oCDu" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## $SHARE utility

### Double APY

You can deposit $SHARE tokens in <mark style="color:blue;">Syrup Pools</mark> to acquire partnered projects’ tokens and earn double APY - first, on your $GLINT staked in Beamshare, and second, on your $SHARE deposited into Syrup Pools.

### IDO participation

You can use $SHARE to participate in IDOs on <mark style="color:blue;">Beamswap Docks</mark>. The more $SHARE tokens you hold, the higher your allocation of IDO tokens.

### DAO governance

When Beamswap Governance and DAO are implemented, you can use $SHARE to vote on proposed new features and platform development.

# stGLINT

The staked version of GLINT is a non-transferable escrowed governance token.

Beamswap v3 introduces the **stGLINT token**, a staked version of the Beamswap-native GLINT.

With enhanced staking and earning opportunities, stGLINT substitutes the [SHARE](/beamswap-v2/beamshare-retired) token and serves as a new reward-generating asset in Beamswap v3 farms and pools.

<figure><img src="/files/REFiBj9a7Ve1YoMgNMGC" alt=""><figcaption><p>By staking stGLINT, you can gain a share of protocol earnings</p></figcaption></figure>

The upgraded token strategy delivers enhanced staking opportunities and allows for expanded token utility in future platform upgrades.

## What is stGLINT?

stGLINT is a non-transferable escrowed governance token and represents **staked GLINT in a 1:1 ratio**.

You can [convert](/products-and-features/stglint/get-stglint#75f2) it directly from GLINT or earn it from your staked positions in Beamswap v3 Yield Farms.

<figure><img src="/files/VZ4mGB3t110zkXNOk9Lh" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

As a staked asset, stGLINT holds the same utility known to the [SHARE](/beamswap-v2/beamshare-retired) token holders and brings it to another level.

Besides, it enhances the Beamswap v3 platform with:

* Less sell pressure
* Vesting on stGLINT-GLINT conversion
* Permanent 1:1 GLINT-stGLINT ratio
* Allocating or staking ability
* Burning mechanism

In the following upgrades of the Beamswap v3 platform, more utilities of the stGLINT token might be introduced.

## Allocating stGLINT

You can allocate or stake stGLINT in various Beamswap v3 features and plug-ins to generate passive rewards.

### v3 Yield Farms and triple-reward pools <a href="#id-60fe" id="id-60fe"></a>

Beamswap v3 introduces new farms that emit 30% of the GLINT rewards in stGLINT. The platform is also supplying pools that bring triple rewards in GLINT, stGLINT, and GLMR (grant GLMR).

<figure><img src="/files/KHcjPnkPVJiaajEotOBS" alt=""><figcaption><p>30% of the GLINT rewards are rewarded in stGLINT</p></figcaption></figure>

### stGLINT vesting <a href="#f004" id="f004"></a>

stGLINT is illiquid and not transferrable as it merely represents your share of staked GLINT on the Beamswap v3 platform.

To move stGLINT and use it elsewhere, you should deallocate the allocated amount and withdraw it into your wallet. At deallocation, the vesting rules apply.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Vesting rules for stGLINT > GLINT conversion:**

* Minimum vesting of 15 days to redeem 50% of staked value
* Maximum vesting of 90 days to redeem 100% of staked value
  {% endhint %}

**Example**: You staked 100 stGLINT, and after 40 days, you decide to redeem them and convert them back to GLINT. Since the full vesting period of 90 days has not been reached yet, you receive 66.67% of the allocated value or 66.67 GLINT, while 33.33 GLINT are burned.

The result is obtained from the following formula:

{% hint style="info" %}
**50% + ((days reached — minimum 15 days) / 75) \* 0.5**

Where:

* 50% represents the minimum redeemable value after 15 days
* Every additional % of the redeemable value is a result of halving the ratio between:
  * The days that surpassed the minimum period of 15 days and
  * The difference between the maximum and minimum period, which is 75 days
    {% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
While early redemption of GLINT is possible, the remaining unredeemable tokens get burned.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/C61MGwlxdGZ2i34geJn0" alt=""><figcaption><p>Calculation of GLINT output at early redemption</p></figcaption></figure>

At this point, the default deallocation fee is 0% until announced otherwise.

## stGLINT replacing SHARE

By delivering enhanced functionalities to the platform, the primary being its staking ability in exchange for rewards, **stGLINT replaces the** [**SHARE token**](/beamswap-v2/beamshare-retired), the staple of staking on Beamswap v2.

If you have any remaining SHARE balance on Beamswap, you should [convert it to stGLINT](/products-and-features/stglint/get-stglint#6b5b).

# Get stGLINT

Stake GLINT it on Beamswap v3 and collect rewards.

To start earning rewards via staking, you should first get some stGLINT balance. You can obtain it by:

1[ Converting GLINT to stGLINT](#75f2) or

2 [Converting SHARE to stGLINT](#6b5b)

## 1 Convert GLINT to stGLINT <a href="#id-75f2" id="id-75f2"></a>

In the [Beamswap v3 app](https://app.beamswap.io/exchange/braindex), in the top menu, navigate to **stGLINT** and click **Dashboard.** Or, go to <https://app.beamswap.io/dashboard>.

Under the **Convert** tab, enter the amount of GLINT you want to convert, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

<figure><img src="/files/7HW8EvhqvG4Sap4WLMfV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## 2 Convert SHARE to stGLINT <a href="#id-6b5b" id="id-6b5b"></a>

To swap [SHARE](/beamswap-v2/beamshare-retired) for stGLINT, you have two options:

2.1 [Using the Migrate tool](#71aa)

2.2 [Migrating SHARE manually](#b65e)

### 2.1 Convert SHARE to stGLINT using the Migrate tool <a href="#id-71aa" id="id-71aa"></a>

Under **stGLINT** in the top menu, click **Migrate,** or visit <https://app.beamswap.io/migrate>.

Input the amount of SHARE to convert, and click the **Migrate** button.

<figure><img src="/files/2shtZ2xM0RD3N4mJ7LxM" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Note:** By clicking Migrate, all of your SHARE balance, including the one staked in SHARE Farms, will be automatically converted to stGLINT. You can convert your stGLINT tokens back to GLINT gradually within a [15 to a 90-day vesting period,](/products-and-features/stglint#f004) with a 50% to 100% ratio.

Early redemptions are allowed but incur a penalty and permanently remove the remaining GLINT from circulation via burning.
{% endhint %}

### 2.2 Convert SHARE to stGLINT with manual migration <a href="#b65e" id="b65e"></a>

To manually migrate SHARE and obtain stGLINT, navigate to **Earn > Beamshare (old)** or click <https://app.beamswap.io/beamshare>.

Click **Unstake** and **Unstake** again to cancel the staking status of your SHARE tokens. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

<figure><img src="/files/zMeNjsziZGft0iQZgSqG" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Next, navigate to **stGLINT** in the top menu, and click **Dashboard.** Or, simply go to <https://app.beamswap.io/dashboard>.

Enter the amount of GLINT you want to convert to stGLINT, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

<figure><img src="/files/7HW8EvhqvG4Sap4WLMfV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Next, use the newly acquired stGLINT balance in [staking to earn rewards](/products-and-features/stglint/stake-stglint-and-earn).

# Stake stGLINT and earn

Allocate your stGLINT to generate rewards.

To stake stGLINT and earn with it, navigate to **Earn** in the top menu, and click **stGLINT Staking**. Or, visit <https://app.beamswap.io/staking>.

Click the **+** icon on the right to add stGLINT allocation.

<figure><img src="/files/NFwZAqgysLQ58VDWgFQC" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Input the amount you want to stake and click “**Stake stGLINT**”.

<figure><img src="/files/C8P3jWPh0XkVWHycm3MO" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Confirm the transaction in your wallet and start generating rewards on Beamswap v3.

# Decentralized Exchange

# Beamswap v3 (CLMM)

Beamswap DEX has transitioned to v3 and became a Moonbeam-based CLMM DEX to boost capital efficiency and bring greater value to the community.

## What is a CLMM DEX? <a href="#id-7253" id="id-7253"></a>

A CLMM DEX, also known as a v3 DEX, is a decentralized exchange that utilizes the concentrated liquidity market maker (CLMM) protocol to execute transactions.

CLMM was introduced as an upgrade to the automated market maker (AMM) and was first released by Uniswap v3. Now, it powers also Beamswap v3.

### Why does AMM need an upgrade? <a href="#id-7f14" id="id-7f14"></a>

In AMM DEX, liquidity to execute asset swaps is sourced from liquidity pools. However, the uneven allocation of liquidity pool tokens makes them range in price from zero to infinity. This could leave some (or most) tokens never utilized for swaps, except in pools with very low liquidity.

The scenario when only a small part of the LP token pool generates revenue from facilitating swaps while the majority remains idle is known as low capital efficiency. It could indicate poor utilization of liquidity pools and minimal chances for liquidity providers to earn rewards for what they supply.

CLMM was introduced to improve the capital efficiency of an AMM.

### How does CLMM work? <a href="#id-4974" id="id-4974"></a>

A concentrated liquidity market maker concentrates the allocation of LP tokens within a narrow price range. This helps liquidity providers to boost the capital efficiency of a DEX, meaning higher number of facilitated swaps and, ultimately, higher fees earned for their liquidity contribution.

Contrary to AMM, the tokens supplied in CLMM are not spread out across a nearly infinite price range, but exactly at or around their current market value.

Liquidity providers decide where they want to allocate their LP tokens, for example, in a range from $10 to $20. That range is further split into ticks where every value has equal liquidity distribution, for example, a tick for $11 tokens, $12 tokens, $13 tokens, etc.

The LP tokens stay supplied in these ticks until liquidity providers decide to withdraw them. However, when the market value of the supplied tokens moves outside the set range, they earn no fees for supplying them to the liquidity pool.

## The benefits of Beamswap v3 (CLMM) <a href="#id-55ef" id="id-55ef"></a>

Beamswap has transitioned from AMM to a CLMM-powered DEX, or v3, for short, to elevate your DeFi experience and boost your liquidity provider earnings.

Beamswap v3 (CLMM) delivers:

* **Greater capital efficiency.** With liquidity concentrated within a narrow price range, the capital of Beamswap v3 is allocated more efficiently, with less TVL left unused. For instance, USD 2 Mio in liquidity on a GLMR-USDC pair with a USD 2 Mio trading volume in a 24h period means a 100% efficient liquidity utilization rate.
* **Lower slippage.** Thanks to an optimal liquidity allocation, your Beamswap v3 transactions experience less slippage, and you get better value for your trades.
* **Higher yields for LPs.** As a liquidity provider on Beamswap v3, you can earn higher fees with fewer tokens deposited. For example, with only 10 tokens deposited in a CLMM liquidity pool, you could earn the same yield as with 1,000 tokens inefficiently deployed in an AMM. This leaves you with more tokens to use elsewhere on Beamswap to generate yields.

In general, improved capital efficiency in DeFi helps the trapped TVL from AMMs to be put to use elsewhere. Beamswap v3 (CLMM) unlocks new opportunities for both traders and liquidity providers.

As a DeFi-er, you get better trades with less slippage, and as a liquidity provider, you can earn fees by depositing your unused assets as LP tokens.

# Lottery

The Beamswap Lottery is a fully on-chain, fair and provable drawing service leveraging the randomness precompile.

<figure><img src="/files/h5UIVVUL2bfCTCJh6A2l" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Draw Process and Prize Brackets

At each lottery round, a verification process is run to finalize the draw results and allow winners to claim their prizes. This process is designed to be fair, transparent, and secure.

Below is a simple, non-technical breakdown of how the Beamswap Lottery works, including examples of winning bracket setups.

### Step 1: Conditions Check

#### Operator

The Beamswap Lottery draw is initiated and executed under a designated operator's supervision to ensure everything runs smoothly and fairly.

#### Lottery Status

Before every draw, the ticket buy window is closed, meaning no tickets can be bought during the draw.

### Step 2: Draw

The system randomly selects a 6-digit winning number using the randomness precompile from Moonbeam.

### Step 3: Winner Calculation

#### Prize Levels

The Beamswap Lottery recognizes different winning set-ups based on the number of consecutive digits on your ticket that match the winning number from right to left. More matching digits typically lead to a higher prize.

<figure><img src="/files/RDS0o7WQplwyGv4dBljx" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}

### **Examples of Wins**

For the purpose of this example, let's assume the winning number in a particular draw is "456789".

#### Example 1: Three-Bracket Win

* **Your Ticket**: Your ticket number is also "456123", and it matches the winning number in three different brackets:
  * **1st Bracket (First Digit)**: Both yours and the winning number have "4" as the first digit.
  * **2nd Bracket (Two Digits)**: Both have "45" as the first two digits.
  * **3rd Bracket (Three Digits)**: Both have "456" as the first three digits.
* **Result**: You're eligible for prizes from each of these three brackets according to the Lottery's rules and prize distribution.

#### Example 2: One-Bracket Win

* **Your Ticket**: Your ticket number is "423459", and it only matches the winning number in the 1st bracket:
  * **1st Bracket (First Digit)**: Both yours and the winning number have "4" as the First digit.
* **Result**: You're eligible for the prize associated with the 1st bracket only.
  {% endhint %}

### Step 4: Prize Distribution

#### Prize Calculation

The prize for each bracket is determined by the total amount collected from ticket sales, the predefined prize breakdown for each bracket, and the number of winners in that bracket.

#### Prize Claim

Once the results are finalized and the lottery status changes to "Claimable", winners can claim their prizes based on the rules set forth in the smart contract.

#### Treasury Fee Allocation

The protocol allocates fees collected from this feature in the following manner:

* 20% of GLMR is allocated for the buyback and burning of GLINT.
* 60% of GLMR is distributed as rewards to stGLINT stakers.
* The remaining 20% of GLMR is utilized for the maintenance of this feature.

*Please be aware that these percentages are subject to change at any time.*

## Transparency and Security

### Fairness

The Beamswap Lottery contract is designed to ensure that the draw and prize distribution are conducted transparently and equitably.

### Security Measures

Features like non-reentrancy guards are used to prevent potential security threats, ensuring the integrity of the Lottery.

## Summary

Beamswap Lottery is designed to provide a fun and fair way to participate in a game of chance. Whether you win in multiple brackets or just one, the system ensures you receive your winnings according to the prize distribution rules.

Good luck, and may the odds be in your favor!

# Zap

Zap allows you to obtain or break up liquidity pool tokens with one click, much faster and easier than you would manually.

## What does Zap improve?

Zap simplifies and speeds up the process of adding new tokens to liquidity pools.

If you want to add $GLINT and $GLMR to the Beamswap liquidity pool, but you only have $USDC, $USDT, or other tokens in your wallet, without Zap, you would need to:

* Sell some tokens to purchase $GLINT and $GLMR
* Add liquidity to Beamswap
* Get the desired tokens

With Zap, you can simply convert your currently held tokens to LP tokens in just one click.

## How to Zap?

Go to [app.beamswap.io/zap/zapin](https://app.beamswap.io/zap/zapin), and select the liquidity pool you want to Zap into.

Choose the asset, set the amount to zap, and review information on pool allocation and share.

Click “Approve \[asset]” and confirm approval in your wallet. Click “Zap”, and again confirm the transaction in your wallet.

{% hint style="warning" %}
This way, you will stake all your LP tokens in the farm.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/3kc3kzAZd7Ar6uAzlvkF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
When you zap low liquidity tokens, be careful of the slippage, as it could be very high. If the price impact seems too high, try disabling multihop.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
The safest tokens to zap with are GLMR, BUSD, USDC, USDT, DAI, BNB, and GLINT.
{% endhint %}

# BLO, Beamswap Liquidity Offering

With BLO, Beamswap tackles the liquidity issue for assets bridged to the Moonbeam Network and for projects seeking to bridge their liquidity to Moonbeam.

Beamswap BLO comes from the Initial Liquidity Offering (ILO) and enables liquidity and capital from other networks to easily flow and accumulate on the Moonbeam Network.

Higher liquidity leads to better pricing of assets on the market, boosted traffic, optimized buying conditions, and better prices of bridged tokens for end-users.

## Benefits for users

As BLO bridges assets from other blockchain networks, you can allocate tokens to buying $GLINT at a lower price.

Once a BLO ends, a $GLINT pool will be launched on Beamswap, bringing high APR to its holders.

## How does BLO work?

When the community requests a new asset to be traded on the Moonbeam Network, Beamswap runs a BLO to onboard the project behind it.

During the BLO, Beamswap offers a pool of $GLINT tokens at a lower price. You can buy discounted $GLINT using the asset bridged in the BLO.

After the BLO, a new pair containing the bridged asset is added to the Beamswap DEX and listed on Beamswap Farms.

{% hint style="info" %}
The total amount raised in BLO is used to buy and burn $GLINT tokens.
{% endhint %}

## Liquidity distribution models

The allocation of bridged tokens determines the distribution of $GLINT tokens.

To illustrate the allocation models with examples, the following variables are used:

* 1 $GLINT = 0.1 $GLMR
* BLO allocation: 1,000 $GLINT

### Model #1 - One-to-One Allocation

BLO contributors cumulatively invest 100 $GLMR, which represents the complete BLO allocation of 1,000 $GLINT (0.1 $GLMR x 1,000 $GLINT).

If you invest 10 $GLMR, which is 10% of the complete allocation, you get 100 $GLINT.

With the 1:1 ratio of $GLMR and $GLINT allocations, all $GLMR tokens are converted into the proportionately equal value of $GLINT, meaning there is no surplus, and no refunds need to be issued to contributors.

### Model #2 - Oversubscription

BLO bridges in more $GLMR tokens compared to the fixed amount of 1,000 $GLINT.

You invest the same as before, 10 $GLMR, but the complete allocation accounts for 200 $GLMR.

Your share represents 5% of the allocation and gets you 50 $GLINT.

Since there are more $GLMR than $GLINT in the BLO pool, the remaining and unused $GLMR are refunded to contributors, including you, based on their contributing share.

### Model #3 - Undersubscription

BLO bridges in less $GLMR tokens compared to the fixed amount of 1,000 $GLINT.

You invest the same amount as before, 10 $GLMR, but the cumulative allocation amount is only 50 $GLMR.

Your share represents 20% of the allocation, so you get 200 $GLINT.

As there was no surplus of $GLMR, all $GLMR tokens are used, and there is no need for a refund.

Detailed information on participation, the minimum amount needed, and claiming $GLINT will be communicated before every BLO.

# Beamswap Launchpad

[Beamswap Launchpad](https://app.beamswap.io/launchpad) connects new projects built on the Moonbeam network with a growing community of early crypto backers to expand their funding reach.

On the one hand, the crypto community gets early and limited-time access to the tokens of new Moonbeam-based projects at a lower price. IDO backers can support them under terms similar to project insiders, VCs, and other early investors.

On the other hand, the projects and teams building on Moonbeam get exposure to the growing Beamswap community and boost their funding for a more secure launch.

## How to contribute?

Projects launching on Beamswap Docks accumulate funding in a single contribution pool. You can contribute to the pool the maximum amount according to the tier tied to the amount of your $SHARE tokens.

### Tiers

There are three tiers of $SHARE token holders:

* Tier 1: 100,000 $SHARE
* Tier 2: 200,000 $SHARE
* Tier 3: 800,000 $SHARE

{% hint style="info" %}
The amount of $SHARE tokens per tier could be amended if the price per $SHARE token changes significantly by the time of an IDO.
{% endhint %}

Learn how to get $SHARE tokens [here](/beamswap-v2/beamshare-retired).

### Allocation

The allocation of collected funds follows every project's scheme and is announced prior to IDO.

If a project doesn’t raise the planned sum, the process remains unchanged — all the accumulated funds are spent and allocated IDO tokens are distributed among contributors.

### Bonus

By locking $SHARE tokens for longer, you can increase your allocation bonus.

* 7-day lock-up: +10% bonus
* 30-day lock-up: +50% bonus

If you don’t lock any $SHARE tokens, your contribution amount remains unchanged. But if you lock them for a week or a month, your contribution grows accordingly, giving you a larger allocation. You can set the lock-up period as an IDO goes live.

### IDO contribution step by step

Before an IDO, you should have enough $SHARE tokens in your wallet to back a project in the tier of your preference. You can get $SHARE tokens on Beamshare — here’s how. You should also pass KYC before participating.

Once the IDO is announced and the registration window opens, register by completing the transaction of $SHARE tokens (on-chain registration) with your connected wallet. Your allocation of IDO tokens is determined based on the amount of your $SHARE tokens and chosen lock-up period. Set the lock-up period to 0 (none), 7, or 30 days. Make sure you also have enough raise currency.

When the IDO sale begins, wait for the contribution window to open. Send your USDC tokens in the amount that corresponds to your max cap. The sale will run on a first-come-first-serve (FCFS) basis, so you should join in early.

After the IDO, claim your new IDO tokens as soon as they are available following the project’s vesting schedule.

{% hint style="info" %}
Once you lock your $SHARE tokens, you can join any IDO during the lock-up period. For example, if you lock $SHARE for 30 days but miss an IDO for whatever reason, you can still participate in other IDOs that launch within that time.
{% endhint %}

Beamswap Charts offer a detailed insight into the price movements of preferred tokens so you can identify a trend and make better trading decisions.

## Burn Dashboard

The [Burn Dashboard](https://app.beamswap.io/burn) tracks all the burns of the $GLINT token, both chronologically and in charts, so you can keep an eye on the shrinking overall token supply.

## Portfolio Tracker

With [Beamswap Portfolio Tracker](https://app.beamswap.io/portfolio), you can track all your open positions in one place, including yield farms deposits, staked tokens, transactions, profits, and rewards.

## NFT Marketplace

Once launched, the Beamswap NFT Marketplace will provide a platform for trading NFTs and presenting creators’ unique digital collections.

## Governance

The Beamswap on-chain DAO will let users contribute their share in managing pool weights, $GLINT emissions, and yield farms.

## Gas Pump

The Beamswap [Gas Pump](https://app.beamswap.io/exchange/gaspump) allows you to bridge assets to Beamswap and convert them straight into GLMR. This cuts the need to have GLMR in your wallet just to cover gas fees — the Gas Pump sources GLMR directly from this one-way swap.
