# Prices and payments

API prices, GLINT benefits and separate transaction fees.

API calls are paid in **USDC on Base**. The payment prompt shows the price before authorization. Your AI subscription is separate.

Example: one balance watch for seven days is $0.07 before discounts. Its fee is paid upfront; cancelling it does not refund unused days.

## Trading fees

Trading is charged as a share of the trade, not as an API price.

The review card on [Trade](https://app.beamswap.io/trade) shows the fee and the minimum you receive before you sign. Routes, network costs and slippage are separate from these fees.

### Network fees

* **Vault setup and owner actions** (creating a vault, editing limits, withdrawing) are wallet transactions on Base. Setup is about 0.01 USD in network fees.
* **Agent trades** in a vault are submitted by Beamswap's relayer, which pays the network fee. You do not pay gas for each trade.

## How authorization works

* **Hosted MCP:** the user reviews an approval page and signs with their wallet. Eligible quota can serve a request without a payment.
* **Private vault link:** trading tools are free and need no payment or approval. Your on-chain limits are the control.
* **Local MCP:** a configured spending wallet automatically signs Base USDC API payments within each tool's list-price ceiling. Distribution creation is capped at $50; monitoring uses its validated item count and days. This is not a daily budget. Uncertain signed payments block further payments until the owner checks the outcome.
* **Direct API:** an x402-compatible client handles the payment challenge and retry.

Successful paid responses include a settlement receipt. A lost response can leave the outcome uncertain; verify it before attempting another payment.

## Other separate fees

Distribution funding through the factory has a fee, initially 0.10% and capped at 1%. Swaps prepared with the paid `swap_route` API use the same own-route fee shown above. These fees are distinct from API prices.

API settlement gas is paid by the facilitator. Wallet transactions such as swaps, staking, funding and claims require ETH for gas. [GLINT staking benefits](https://docs.beamswap.io/glint-staking).
